The Flight of Desire
___________________________
Standing on the ground,
Staring into the sky,
Thinking,
To fly or not to fly.
XX
The earth is not for me,
It’s so crowded, so full.
I’m ready to make that leap,
But not sure, if I’ll escape the gravitational pull.
XX
Oh gravity, you are such a temptation,
I’m struggling to undo your clasps.
I need an innovation,
I need to escape your grasp.
XX
O alchemist, do you have the potion,
that can help me fly?
Or can you make the heavens conspire,
to lower the sky?
XX
The alchemist said:
The problem is not that
the sky is high,
The problem is that you don’t know
that you can fly.
XX
He added:
My son, you can fly if you have the desire,
you can fly, if your soul is on fire.
XX
And he revealed:
If you can’t fly at first,
do not lose heart.
Just flutter your wings hard enough,
and the gravity will fall apart.

DREAMS
________________________________________
Dreams, they flutter like a butterfly,
When you are fast asleep,
You dream of flying away to a far off lake,
There is a ripple in the lake and you wake up,
Dreams, you can’t recall when you are awake.
Reality doesn’t soothe you,
And you dream when you are wide awake,
Wide eyed, staring into nothing,
On a dream-loom, dreams you are weaving,
A thread snaps and you wake up,
Dreams, you can’t recall when you are awake.
Dreams aplenty in your eyes,
Every moment a new dream,
Your eyes make,
And what happened,
To the dreams that were broken,
Will they be continued later,
In another retake?
