The Journey
I walk on an unknown path,
and pray that the road be long,
meandering, rising and sloping down,
and flowing smoothly like a song,
I see the fields and feel the earth,
smell the air and taste the sun,
and herds of cattle grazing along,
and speeding caravans on the run,
they speed past me, leaving me behind,
I don't give a damn, I don't care,
Because I ain't a turtle and they ain't a hare,
I can see my destination,
and I'm enjoying the journey,
and I've found my happiness,
it's here, there and everywhere.
